Mings Dueling Video

Looks like Ming has posted a new thread in the Rogue Forums. He gives a full description and run down of what the video contains and who it features in the thread.

Download the Video

This video focuses on the state of 1 vs 1 Duels against other classes. It touts that the opponents are all very skilled players in arena combat and very well equipped. Im still waiting in que to be able to stream it but Id like to know what everyone else thinks about this video. Is the portrayal of the Rogue class in 1 vs 1 pvp accurate?

I was relativly unimpressed with the video. Touted as Quality 1v1 pvpers, I was astonished by the lack of quality pvping I saw. The druid was one of the worst druids i have ever seen in pvp. The rogues who fought the mages were sloppy and easily predictable.

Teamwork has nothing to do with class skill. I have a feeling that allot of these people have gear but 1v1 im unimpressed. I was however impressed by the shamans fights. Enjoyed those.

I do not believe that 1v1 DUELS are an accurate testament to a classes PvP strengths. How is it accurate to show a rogue 1v1 when the opponent is expecting a rogue? Theres no surprise element which is a huge benefit to rogues.

Theres also other problems with saying "Rogues lose duels, so they suck" but I won't get into them here.

I don't see why everyone treats Ming like they're a god amongst men.

I saw It and It was said.

Rogues pretty owned by everybody.

Nitrana disappointing. Only Inactive keep our pride high but now He rolls a warriors...so said I don't feel this class like before.

Sorry for bad spelling.

Yes Shaman fights between Inactive and Geece were great. You can see 2 top pleyers facing, really top.

But even Inactive could do nothing against the warlock, but I think nobody can beat a warlock now the the trinquet cant dispell seduce and he can dispell KS. No class can matchup locks one on one.

Inactive is amazing, really amazing. So disappointed He now plays a warrior. The best rogue joined the WorldOfWarriors bandwagon.

Excepting the fight with the shaman, most of this video showed poor PvP skills on the account of the rogue. If the rogue were more skilled he could have beaten any of those other players, maybe excepting 1 or 2 of them depending on circumstances.

Just took the time to actually watch it.

Horrible.

Seriously, what are they trying to prove? Its not a valid view of 1v1 rogue pvp, not to mention blizzard has never balanced pvp around 1v1 fights.

The video itself was incredibly annoying, why would he/she "shake" the screen? Irritating. Then, whats with the japanese (believe it was japanese) dubbing? Was that supossed to be funny? Did I miss something?

Again, why do we give this person so much attention?

The moment I saw him not turning on evasion just after he gets out of stealth to fight the warlock, I knew something is wrong. Evasion has a high chance of messing with the felguard's intercept.

And the fact he was unable to reestablish stunlock on the other classes makes things more suspicious. I mean, we always have blind and vanish if they trinket out of stuns. And he is quite impatient as well, especially against the mage. I always thought it is wiser to just outwait the mage's shield (of course they can recast, but outwait that as well), or just keep on waiting and frustrate the mage.

And personally, I trust in the wisdom of the Scrin (command and conquer 3) when it comes to dealing with well-prepared opponents. "If they are organized, disorganize them." Would like to see rogues messing up the player behind the enemy character so as to make them lose focus and make mistakes.

That was some of the most crappy, borind and idiotic pvp rogue movies people have to endure on this internet.FFS get some crits, and get a fucking clue about what you put points on him.

the comments here are a joke, i can tell most people on this site are doing low level pvp.

Nitrana wasn't in the movie.. you can't wait out a mage shield... what kind of dumb suggestion is that?

and "get more crits"? haha, l2resilience retard.

seriously, dont comment if youre gonna write trash. This was one of the most seminal rogue movies ever, all the people involved are far more skilled than you will ever be.
