Ok... About those changes...
So a couple of people were kind enough to point out to me that I was a bit premature with the changes coming to Rogues. But oh well... patch 2.0.3 looks like it will buffing rogues. I starred the ones that I am looking forward too.
I will be cutting combat completely out of my builds from now on. Where I used to be 31/8/12 I will now be 31/0/20 or some combination of that. Very excited to see what this does for ass/sub builds. What do you guys think?
Rogue
-Shadowstep as 41 Talent Point
*Imp Sap switched out with Elusiveness
*Imp backstab and imp SnD have switched places.
*Imp Sap is now a 2 point talent - 50%/100%
-Surprise attack is now 10% and finishing move can no longer be dodged
-Weapon expertise changed to +10 weapon skill.
*Combo points preserved on previous target if target is changed during combat.
-Evasion (Rank 2) now trainable.

when is this patch going to drop?
Fine and dandy however again, while Sub Rogues seem to benefit, the combat tree recieves a token buff which won't redress the DPS issues that we have suffered since our ability to mitigate glancing blows was removed.
well what I want to know is why my "ripoStrike" macro no longer works
I used to have a macro where it would cast riposte and sinister strike at the same time and riposet would go off first if i parried (elminating human slowness in noticing a parry and clickin the riposte button)
/cast Riposte
/cast Sinister Strike(rank8)
and it worked great untill the latest patch came out....plz help
To paraphrase, "...thistle tea's effect on energy will decrease after level 40."
Can you say, "SUPERNERF?!"
(Sure, say the tea is only a crutch for n00bs who can't play rogues right, go ahead.)
Not exactly sure how a couple talent switches (that only benefit sub-pvp rogues), slight improvements to a joke of a talent (surprise attacks) and zero buffs to weapon skill which the blues stated they would "return it to the most valuable pve talent" before the expansion.
Not to mention a huge nerf to thistle tea (a class specific ability) and now it appears that blind has resist ticks.
So yeah, great buffs...
enough with the pvp bs, let's get down to brass tacks and pve damage becuase our class is a joke in pve now.
Based on
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html
The talent switches (Imp BS - Imp S&D, Imp Sap - Elusivenes) will be beneficial to everyone. Those who are going full Combat won't have to put ranks in Assassination to get to Imp Slice & Dice, Sub/Assassin rogues now can get Imp Sap earlier and won't have to put as many ranks into combat.
For the comment that our PVE damage output is lagging; I cannot see how that is. For Sub spec the Master of Subtlety and Deadliness talents improve your overall damage output. Assassin tracks get Find Weakness and Mutilate, both of which increase DPS. And for combat spec the Expertise, Combat Potency, and Dual Weild Spec means we hit more often, harder, and replenish energer faster. I am full combat spec at 45, and can already see the difference one point in combat potency makes.
Rogues continue to maintain what they were designed to do: Do the most damage possible against a single target.
