Well I haven't made a new post in a little while so I should bring everyone up to date on whats happening behind the scenes at RogueSpot. We have been busy... off a suggestion of a Cloak-and-Dagger member we opened discussion sometime ago about a very strict Theory Crafting forum. Ive added some new forum mods to the RogueSpot team to help handle this new forum which will be heavily moderated to the point where not abiding by the rules will result in people having their posting privileges removed.
Please welcome Koeppen, Lithander, Lrigatonmai, Raivyn, Rosvall
We are currently populating the forum and consolidating some of the Theory Craft posts that have been circulating around RogueSpot. Consider us cutting the fat from some of the greater mathematical discussions happening behind the scenes.
If you want to get in on the new forum make sure you join the Cloak-and-Dagger members group. The new forum is a private 40+ Rogue only forum. There are a lot of cool things the mods want to do with this new forum so stay tuned. We like to consider RogueSpot the creme of the crop of the Rogue Community and with the new forum hope to make RogueSpot the premiere source of educated Theory Craft discussion. We look forward to hijacking threads from the Official forums and bringing them under controlled discussion like only our Rabid Blood Thirsty mods can manage.
And if this post comes across a little over the top theres a good reason. Were the best.

I have a question regarding the loss of posting privs -
Doesn't that seem a bit harsh, for a first time offense, or will there be warnings first?
Perhaps you could just make a new member group where members (normal ones) move up to that one at x amount of posts. At the new rank, they are then able to post in the new section.
Those that violate the new forum then get moved to yet another rank, where that one wouldn't allow for an advancement to be able to post in the new section.
Members would be moved to the 3rd rank after 1 or 2 warnings, depending on timeframe and offense.
Of course, this still allows you to ban whomever you like.

We have been considering different ways to handle this forum for a while.
First off youll never get have any action taken against you for first, send, or third infractions. Those are all just warnings... second... it doesnt even count as an infraction unless theres intent to disreguard the rules. If you think your making a contribution and we decide its more suitable for the normal CnD forums it will simply bumped back to that forum and nothing will happen.
I can understand the concern but I can assure you this will not be an excuse for us to exersize our inner asshole-ness... ewwww.

Thanks for the reply though. ^^; I don't know enough of the math and mechanics to really be a contribution, but I can at least double check the math that others do. >.>
