Psyae PvP Fight Analysis

I don't get to reading outside RogueSpot forums as much as I used to. When I do I like it when I find gems like this post. I have visited Psyae's blog before but obviously not recently enough. Check out her post about an attempted ganking, coming out on top and the analysis. There is also a Video included that lets you see what happened in slow motion. This fight was exciting to watch in Slow Mo.

Heh, /blush

I refreshed my site meter, and saw a billion hits from roguespot.com, and I'm like, what the hell?

'preciate the props, of course.

Just as a disclaimer, though, I've thoroughly admitted that although I won the fight in the end, it was almost entirely due to the oversight of my opponent, and perhaps her assumption that I'd be an easy mark. Also, in the post, I mentioned her name as "Octavia," but it's really Octavica. Minor difference, but important if someone's going to do any searches for her.

What's good is to analyze the video and combat log to see what Octavica did, and determine what *you* would have done if you were in her place. For instance, what's a rogue do when disarmed? (probably: blind). There are lots of good questions to be asked about that, and other fights.

Thanks again for bringing it to attention.

It's pretty obvious to me what the other rogue did wrong. Octavica failed Basic Stun lock 101.

A pvp speced rogue generally has 110 energy or imp kidney shot, which means the should be able to 100-0 stunlock another rogue down, with 0% chance of response.

CS->SS->Gouge (wait for regen)->KS->BS->Blind
Resteath->CS->BS->KS->BS

Give psyae's 3600 hp, this should have been more than enough damage.

Ming's dueling guide covers basic stunlocks which every rogue should commit to memory.
